|
At this time, we are temporarily sold out of Kriegsmodell books! When we started this project, we printed 1000 copies to sell, hoping that would cover the demand for a few years. However, we sold almost half the books within the first few months! We self published and self printed this book, and the cost to reprint is expensive. We do plan on printing more copies, and you can email me at mike@latewar.com to be put on a backorder list. There is no schedule at the moment for when we will do the second printing. We are currently working on Volume 1 of the project, which should be done by early 2011. This volume will cover 1920-1938, and the birth of the 98k up to the start of WW2. Thank you to all of the people who bought the book! |

Don't forget to visit the new forum Bruce and I set up as a companion for the new book - www.k98kforum.com . This forum was set up as a way to collect information and exchange ideas on the upcoming books "Karabiner 98k - 1933-1938" and "Karabiner 98k - 1939-1944". These books will complete the story of the K98k rifle told from a collectors point of view, with tons of high quality color photos just like the Kriegsmodell book! |

Below are excerpts from the book. This is a complete full color reference detailing variations in stocks, hardware, and acceptance proofs for all of the K98k manufacturers in 1945. Included are sections on capture papers and accessories, with never before seen original documentation. |
